Rural Grocery and Food is Medicine

FiM Pyramind

The Rural Grocery Initiative is interested in learning how rural grocers can engage in Food is Medicine efforts. Food is Medicine includes programs you already know about like SNAP and WIC and newer programs like Double Up Food Bucks, produce prescriptions, medically tailored groceries, and medically tailored meals.

The Rural Grocery Initiative is working with the Sunflower Foundation to learn about this topic by conducting a research project to survey rural grocers about their understanding and interest in this topic. If you are a rural Kansas grocer, participate in the survey today and earn $50.
