RGI Welcomes New Graduate Research Assistant
This fall, RGI welcomes a new graduate research assistant, Alexsis Stensland. She is from Greensburg, Kan. and this is her 5th year in community and regional planning in the College of Architecture, Planning and Design. She will primarily be working with a grant focusing on food access research.
Alexsis first became interested in planning as a profession after her hometown was destroyed by a tornado on May 4, 2007. Now, Greensburg is the world’s leading community in LEED-Certified buildings. Alexsis is looking forward to being part of an organization that is “making a positive impact with their mission” and learning as much as she can before she graduates in May. She is also looking forward to gaining more understanding about food access and the Rural Grocery Initiative. Her master’s research currently aligns with the work she is doing with RGI.
