Participate in the Rural Grocery Specialist Certificate Pilot

The Rural Grocery Specialist Certificate Program will train and deploy resource professionals across the country to better serve rural grocers through business transitions. This program is being developed through a small grant from the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development.

Before launching this certificate to the public, we are seeking between 5-10 extension professionals in the North-Central Region to participate in a pilot launch.

Selected pilot participants will receive:

  • Access to course materials through online learning management software, Canvas Pro.
  • $250 stipend for participation

Selected pilot participant will be expected to:

  • Complete the program within 3 months (12 weeks) of launch date;
    • Launch date: April 3, 2023
    • Required completion date: May 28, 2023
  • Attend one synchronous virtual kickoff meeting on April 4, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM Central.
  • Provide feedback at conclusion of each module (roughly once every 2 weeks). Feedback may be requested through a Qualtrics form, one on one phone or virtual online conversation, or through written email
  • Submit all requested paperwork in a timely manner. This may include, but is not limited to a completed W9 for payment.
